Question 1

How much does dog training cost in Bangalore?

Accepted Answer

Dog training fees at Canine Craft Academy depend on the program you choose, your dog's age and the number of sessions. Puppy foundation and home obedience programs are priced per package, while boarding and training is charged by duration. Question 2

At what age should I start training my puppy?

Accepted Answer

You can start puppy training as early as 8 to 12 weeks. Early socialization, potty routines and leash manners are far easier to build at this stage than to correct later. Our Puppy Foundation Program is designed specifically for this age group, and older dogs can still be trained successfully at any age.

Question 3

Do you offer dog training at home in Bangalore?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Home Obedience Program is conducted at your own home so your dog learns to behave in the environment where the problems actually happen. We cover Nayandahalli, Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar, Kengeri, Mysore Road, RR Nagar and surrounding areas of Bangalore.

Question 4

How long does it take to train a dog?

Accepted Answer

Most dogs show clear improvement within 3 to 4 weeks of consistent training. Basic obedience typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, while behaviour correction for issues like aggression, anxiety or excessive barking can take longer depending on the dog's history. Progress depends heavily on the practice you do between sessions.

Question 5

Can you fix aggression or excessive barking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Behaviour correction is one of our core specialisations. We first assess what is triggering the aggression, barking, leash pulling or anxiety, then build a structured plan around impulse control and calm responses. We use positive reinforcement rather than fear-based methods, so the behaviour changes without damaging your dog's trust.

Question 6

How do I stop my dog from pulling on the leash?

Accepted Answer

Leash pulling is a learned habit, not stubbornness — the dog pulls because pulling has always moved the walk forward. We reverse that by rewarding a loose leash, using structured heel work, direction changes and correct reward timing instead of choke chains or prong collars. Most dogs walk noticeably better within 2 to 3 weeks of short daily practice. Leash manners are covered in both our Home Obedience and Basic Obedience programs in Bangalore.

Question 7

How do I stop my puppy from biting?

Accepted Answer

Puppy biting is normal — it is how puppies explore and get through teething — but it needs redirecting before it hardens into a habit. We build bite inhibition through structured play, proper chew outlets and a consistent response every single time, so the puppy learns how much pressure is acceptable and when to stop. Shouting, tapping the nose or holding the muzzle usually makes biting worse. Most puppies improve within 2 to 3 weeks, and this is a core part of our Puppy Foundation Program.

Question 8

What training methods do you use?

Accepted Answer

We use positive, reward-based training grounded in canine behaviour science. Dogs learn through clear communication, consistency and reinforcement of the behaviour we want, never through fear or punishment. This builds a dog that listens because it trusts you, not because it is afraid.

Question 9

Do you board dogs while they train?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Boarding & Training program combines daily structured training with supervised, hygienic boarding, so your dog returns home already practising the new behaviour. We also offer standalone pet boarding with playtime, supervision and personalised care.

Question 10

Which dog breeds do you train?

Accepted Answer

We train all breeds and mixes — Belgian malinois, Labradors, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Rottweilers, Shih Tzus, Pugs, Indies and more. Programs are customised to the individual dog's temperament and energy level rather than the breed alone.
